Does anyone have more information on the gunshots that were heard on W. Anapamu around 2:00 a.m.?  Unclear exactly where this happened but heard it on the Westside.

Shots Fired Early Saturday?

There are many Edhat postings about gunfire. Some may be gunfire but some is probably something else like fireworks or automobiles backfiring. There is a public company called ShotSpotter (SSTI) . They install technology to listen for gun shots 7 days by 24 and can send police to the spot of the gunshots in just a few minutes. Some 90 cities have already installed this and nearly all have expanded it to more area after using it.

I hope they get those responsible. People should be able to sleep safely and peacefully in their beds at night, not hearing gunshots.

It sounded like it was on the 1200 blk of San Andres, cross street was Anapamu. Several people called 911, and Police were in the area shortly thereafter. The streets were blocked-off , and several Police vehicles, slowly cruising the area, with spotlights. JP said it might have been a vehicle & pedestrian involved.
