Did anyone else just see what looked to be either a very bright shooting star, a flare, or maybe UFO above Montecito/Summerland area just before 9pm?

We saw it-we were standing on a hill above the mesa!What a thrill!! Too quick to get a picture. For about 2 seconds the fireball (which is what it was) had a darker burning flare-like tail: exactly like a comet. It appeared to be much lower than it actually was. Heading north to south. So glad we decided to take the dog out!
