Shooting in Santa Maria

On Wednesday, January 19th at about 11:30 PM, the Santa Maria Police Department received calls to our dispatch center regarding a shooting that just occurred in the area of Colebrook Drive and Barrington Drive.  Upon officers’ arrival, they located a Hispanic male adult suffering from a single gunshot wound to the torso area. 

The victim of the shooting was transported to Marian Medical Center and eventually flown to Cottage Hospital for treatment.  The victim’s status is currently unknown.

At this time, there is no suspect information.

The Santa Maria Police Department Detective Bureau is investigating the shooting.

Shooting in Santa Maria

The men/boys who spending their leisure shooting each other should be enrolled in courses to become medics and required to take care of their own "battlefield" wounded.
