The Sheriff’s Office investigated two separate cases in Solvang last night, on the fourth of July, where it was reported a suspect may be armed. The 1st incident occured at approximately 9:45 p.m. and involved a domestic violence case. Deputies located the suspect and it was determined he did not have firearms. He was arrested for domestic violence.
A short time later, there was a report of a man with a gun outside a hospital. Deputies responded and determined the report to be unfounded.
Thank you to the Solvang residents who remained calm and were cooperative while deputies handled both of these calls. As always, report suspicious activity right away by calling 911.
