Identity of Male Decedent Located Near Goleta Released

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the name of the decedent who was located on Friday, June 22, 2018 in a secluded area near Calle Real, north of Goleta. The decedent is 24-year-old Brenden Milo Lewis of Santa Barbara.

An autopsy was conducted today but the results are pending. Due to the ongoing investigation, no additional details will be released at this time.

Just before 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible body found in a secluded area near Calle Real, north of Goleta. Sheriff’s deputies responded and located a deceased adult male individual down an embankment.

The decedent has been identified, but due to the active investigation, no additional details will be released at this time.

  1. STROBE – as you can see from many of the comments and their respective up or down votes, people here really don’t seem to care, apparently since he had a record of some criminal behavior 3 years ago. Sad indeed.

  2. Compliments to the Sheriff for this straight forward notice. In contrast to recent similar stuff put out by the SBPD. “Just the facts” will do nicely. Let them take us where they do. No speculation is appropriate.
