A semi-truck caught fire on Highway 166 Tuesday night closing the roadway until early Wednesday morning.
At 8:32 p.m. Tuesday, California Highway Patrol (CHP) received an alert of a vehicle crash on SR-166, east of Santa Maria.
CHP arrived on the scene and discovered a semi-truck had rolled and caught fire in the middle of the roadway damaging both the guardrail and the bridge.
SR-166 East was closed from Highway 101 near Santa Maria to Perkins Road in San Luis Obispo/Santa Barbara Counties.
At 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, one-way traffic control was on SR-166 East near Chimineas Ranch Road. There is no estimate for a full opening.
