Second Suspect Arrested in Unlawful Sex with Minor Case

Following a lengthy and continuing investigation, 25-year-old Vicente Lopez Ceballos of Los Angeles surrendered himself this morning to detectives at Sheriff’s Headquarters on a warrant for unlawful sexual activity. This arrest stems from an initial investigation that resulted in the April 9, 2019 arrest of 54-year-old Gregory Scott Ray who is currently in custody and facing 28 felony and 3 misdemeanor charges related to his sexual involvement with 12 male juvenile victims. Ray’s victims ranged in age from 13 to 17 years old with some of the offenses dating back to 2007.

During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered Lopez and Ray engaged in sexual acts simultaneously with a 14-year old male juvenile victim. Lopez Ceballos was arrested on a warrant for oral copulation of a person under 16 and sodomy of a person under 16. He is being held at the Santa Barbara County Jail on $100,000 bail.
