I see all these social experiments on the internet on Facebook and yesterday I conducted one of my own on a panhandler, an UNsocial experiment. I walked past a female and totally ignored her as if I was hard of hearing. The young woman was sitting on the ground outside PetCo at 19 South Milpas, she thought I should pay attention to her but I have no money for anyone but myself. I’m not wealthy I don’t even have a vehicle, many of these people do. I have never seen this gal before either, I wasn’t going to give her the time of day. At first she was nice ” Sir, Sir..Sir Hey You! Hey you MOTHER F$$$$$! Fat ass!” I really should have turned and laughed at that point but just kept walking. I did not want to deal with this person’s crap, I don’t like panhandlers, most of them are Con Artists. Anyone who is able can get a job even sweeping floors, scrubbing shitters. I did that for years there’s no shame in that game it’s a job.

I know some people who panhandle and they are really down on their luck and sincere. People won’t hire them and when I can I give to them. I don’t give them much change only, however, when I pick up my Little Caesars pizza I always tip a buck. Last year I got a good deal on socks from a place I order things from and instead of giving the socks to the homeless I gave them to security guards and other working class people I knew. I was working class for years always worked when I could, even for 2 dollars and hour, I’d rather work for 2 dollars an hour then beg and accept money from a family struggling to survive. I unloaded a truck full of drywall once up in Salinas for 2 bucks an hour, cut a lawn with a pair of grass shears for a six-pack of beer, smokes and a chicken dinner, picked lemons on the pass for 3 and change an hour. I get really irritated hearing about these Freeloaders getting a couple hundred an hour begging off working families and poor folks, it’s one thing if they are really hurting but many are not. There people who have kids with them when they beg are mostly con artists also. I saw a news report  on You Tube Southern California LA area there was a whole group of them working in shifts they all had cars. Why don’t they go panhandle in the Lagoon district those people over there have money?

• Attempt  Armed Robbery of Marijuana Grow 1500 Block of Casitas Pass Road, idiots got caught in Ventura some people are not meant to be criminals.
• East Clark at Bradley vehicle accident.
• Lewd subject McDonalds 1213 State reporting party left scene did not sound like it really occurred.
• 300 Block of Mathilda in Goleta structure fire response for an oven fire.
• Range Rover on the East Beach, it was stolen by it’s owner and left there.
• Unknown type med call 1400 Block of Castillo.
• 415 Between neighbors 200 Block of East Victoria.
• Railroad arms not operating correctly they are down no train coming people driving around them Eucalyptus at Miramar. I would never do that be my luck train would be invisible.
• Check the welfare of someone living in the 900 Block of DLV if you can locate them.
• SBPD in the 1200 Block of Cacique not sure what for maybe a premises check.
• 415 Domestic 600 Block of West Guiterrez.
• Subject refusing to leave the Liquor stare 314 North Milpas.
• Suspicious circumstances, reporting party saw a homeless man his stolen surfboard in the 1100 Block of Anacapa.
• Check the Welfare of a male down DLV at State street.
• Man with pants down in the La Goon District 100 Block of North Milpas.
• Female officer on 2 Subjects Cacique and Powers.
• Gas leaking from a white box truck Southbound 101 passing Olive Mill missing it’s gas cap gas coming out of truck driver does not know CHP call.
• Overdose on Rose Ave in Ventura.
• Check the Welfare of a 19 Year old Male his Mother was worried 800 Block of Cliff Drive he ended up in custody not sure why but it sounded like he might be resisting.
• Suspicious vehicle 400 Block of West Pedregosa parked on the bridge a white vehicle with someone in it.

Scanner Reports, Thursday:

• Prowler running around Northside of town this morning near Earl Warren Showgrounds and the Golf course got away for now but not for long. WMA 30’s black hair, facial hair khaki shorts, long sleeve blue shirt black back pack which was dropped.
• 415 Male yelling on the patio of Ralphs 100 Block of West Carrillo.
• Dine and Dash or maybe Lodge and Dash at the Holiday Inn Express 17 West Haley.
• 415 Domestic near the bike path behind the Summerland Inn on Ortega Hill.
• 242 Victim Assault near the restrooms Cabrillo and Calle Caesar Chavez.
• Motorist involved in a non injury accident Public Assist.
• Trespasser at the church 300 Sumita Gardens, female.
• 415 Family 400 Block of Rose Avenue.
• Drugs found Motel 6 333 McMurray
• Lagooner draining his Lizard and drinking 21 North Milpas.
• Check the welfare at a subject yelling at himself  State at Carrillo.
• 415 Family brother possibly on Meth 800 Block of North Alisos.
• 2  Guys in a front yard in the 1600 Block of Cliff told someone they was from the Water Department but Public Works says No work in that area today prehaps they were casing.
• Check the Welfare of George walking North on DLV wearing hospital scrubs they must be in style lately been hearing  people walking around town wearing scrubs lately.
• 487 Grand Theft Macys 3805 State street beige Silverado involved part license plate California 8U361?? Registered in Southern California.
• Partially naked female in Vera Cruz Park.
• Trespasser at IV Market ongoing.
• Gas powered leaf blower on Rosemary Lane.
• Loud Music in front of 814 State street reporting party will sign a complaint.
• Premise check city lot 11  500 Block of Anacapa.
• Found Property 132 East Figueroa.
• Shoplifter at the Home Improvement center 415 East Guiterrez. I might be going there next week but I’m not going to be stealing anything.

I was thinking of what to call my NeighborHOOD and I came up with The Loon District because we have alot of Loons down here. Keep those Lagooners out of here I’m a Loon and I’m proud I’m sure there are otter Proud Loons too So There!
