A strange sight in the Milpas UNDERPANTS on MONday. I heard there was a 415 Domestic there earlier in the day, just one ear and out the other, I hear them all the time. Later on in the afternoon I had to go to Rite Aide, walking through almost all the way to the end was this scene, on the North sidewalk and street, of items thrown all over the place. Shoes, clothing, coolers, there was a sleeping bag with a man crashed on it, a woman sitting hear by doing sometype of art work on a big piece of wood. She gave me a God Awlful Dirty look I must have looked kinda shocked at the scene that resembled more like the inside of an apartment than an underpass with a public sidewalk. There was broken glass all over the street and bicycle lane in front of this scene. I almost expected the male to suddenly sit up and start yelling "Stella!!!" On TUESday I walked by, they were gone but alot of the stuff was still there including part of a bucket of white paint? The glass had been cleaned up a bit too but there was a sheet with what looked like dried barf drapped over one of the  Milpas cornstalk poles at the entrance to the underpass on the NorthSide and off course empty liquor bottles all over the place. One of the Guys at Car Stereo Guys said there were two grocery carts loaded with mostly used household items on the side of their business he found when he got to work Monday morning. People go on Drunks and leave all kinds of stuff behind, kinda sad when people do that like they are giving up.

Ever watch some of the regular TV Shows on TV? I don't have cable anymore just one of those boxes picks up a few channels mostly all you see are Cop shows, Medical shows, Reality shows. Ever watch the Medical Show Code Black? Wednesday nights on KCOY a local star is on the show I just can't seem to remember his name Rob something. Rob Lowe I'm kidding, anyway in the preview for the show Rob's character freaks out and gets committed to a 72 Hour Psyche hold I just cannot wait to see that. I just thought I'd tell you all about it.

I heard Rite Aide 35 South Milpas got hit again MONday night that just happened last month and the  burglars were caught someone told me a huge theft ring was involved in the drug store burglaries all they go for are the drugs. I don't know what I'd steal if I broke into Rite Aide but it would not be the drugs. I might take the ATM Machine somehow, maybe some Ice Cream, some cold drinks, Potatoe chips, cigarettes, booze, incense, ramen, some wipes maybe they are kind of expensive. I'd open up my own Drug Store down on the corner minus the drugs. What would you steal if you broke into Rite Aide?   Here are your scanner reports.

Roger, is the actor you referred to the same Rob Lowe who lives at 720 Picacho Lane in Montecito?

REX, Didn't someone get fired from the NP for printing Rob Lowe's address in a news article? Better watch out, the actor got really mad about it. A nice thing he did was call my mother-in-law to say he found her Pug wandering on his property and returned it.

FLICKA, no, no one at the N-P got fired for printing Rob Lowe's address (720 Picacho Lane), because it WASN'T printed. Back in the day, the N-P printed ALL names and addresses of people who got building permits, zoning changes, etc., and no exceptions were ever made to this policy. Until the McCaw woman got her meathooks on the News-Press and decided that some people were more deserving of privacy than others. When Rob Lowe asked that his address (720 Picacho Lane) be withheld regarding a building permit or something, McCaw happily granted his request. News-Press editorial employees, realizing the unfairness of the situation, protested loudly. This is what triggered the massive N-P meltdown of…what?…2005?…that resulted in mass staff resignations and changes in employment status for many reporters and others. None of this was Rob Lowe's fault, but the episode was the linchpin for the ensuing war between the News-Press and the community.

That is not his current address. Please check your info before spreading incorrect addresses that may impact innocent people who live there.

Totally off topic but I just received a what I precieve as a scam
call via my cell phone to donate to the Santa Barbara Sherrifs Department.
I called the Santa Barbara Sherriff non emergency line to report.
Answering person was not interested in suggestions to beef up
communication alerts to such scams.

I like Rob Lowe. I like the S.B.News Press and I have an online subscription. I'm grateful for all the absolutely wonderful sources of news here: Edhat, The Independent, S.B. New Press, Noozhawk, KEYT (outstanding real-time reports during fires and all night long), KSBY, Wildland Residents Association website and radio station AM1290. Others?

REX OF SB, let it go. Lots of people enjoy the News Press. You (or others?) didn't like what the N-P business owner did, protests, some quit, some got fired. It's over. The News Press is doing a good job. I assume everyone who left there are in good jobs now, too. Did important publications hire them (your comment on changes of employment)? Isn't there a statute of limitations on complaints. 13 years of complaining. Enough already.

"Let it go, let it go. Can't hold it back anymore. Let it go, let it go. Turn away and slam the door." Idina Menzel from Frozen. Let's use that for the News-Press and Rob Lowe's address. __Who__ cares. Let it go.

Roger, you asked what would we steal if we broke into Rite-Aid. I would steal a lot of different sunscreen. I'd like to try them all and decide which I like best. And I'd steal some candy and popcorn, and maybe some champagne. But mostly sunscreen.
