What a weekend, got hardly any sleep at all and did not party, my neighbors sort of invited me when they decided to keep me up all night too. I bitched and moaned about it the other day but I'm entitled to peace and quiet as they are and if not some night I just might have to crank some Black Sabbath and invite some of my old friends over. I had to go to the doctor early MONday now I'm on more meds, conked out at 6pm MONday evening till about 1am, laid there most of the night got a couple more hours. If anyone has any ideas for me to cover the noise of a bunch of immature disrespectful thirty and forty year old juveniles let me know because I'd rather be able to just shut them out than go the other way, of course if for some reason I was to fall off the wagon disregard this request they would be calling the police on me. You all know they would too. I have no intention of getting drunk but if the tables were turned these are the kind of people who would be calling the police, the Land Lord, the Marines.

UPDate: Bakery in the 200 Block of South Milpas no panhandlers for 2 weeks, one on MONday morning dressed nice probably drives a luxury grocery cart too! Anyway that has improved since they called the SBPD and have been willing to sign a complaint. I guess some people don't like to be arrested. I saw a beautiful site in the window of Milpas Motors on MONday a vintage yellow stingray Schwinn bicycle took me back to the day I had my sting ray with the sissy bar .I never had a Schwinn my Dad worked for Sears so all my Sting Rays were Sears bicycles but still really cool had a 5 speed purple stingray with a wood grain shifter, had a chrome stingray with flames on the banana seat had a navy blue one my dad fixed up and painted for me after I crashed it a few times, navy blue has been my favorite color ever since. What kind of bikes did you have when you were a kid? Mikes Chevron anyone remember that place Mike was cool I wonder if anything will ever go in that lot again anyone know? 12-Story marijuana dispensary Maybe? De La Guerra at Milpas streets...A friend of mine mentioned the Social Security Scammers have called him 5 times now anyone else getting those calls? I saw a post not to long ago thieves try to get in anyway they can, it is what it is I guess Here is your Scanner Reports.

Roger, I remember wanting a sting ray bicycle really badly when I was maybe 8 or 10 years old; can't remember exactly. Well, I got a "girl's" cruiser bike instead, and I was slightly disappointed, although I knew I was lucky to get any bike at all. Being the only girl in the family, my mom liked giving me more girly things.

YES, getting lot's of scam calls. One bad one is the one that shows up on my caller ID as Apple Store, and they are using the Apple phone # , so it looks real, but when I call them, of course putting the *67 first, which will make MY phone # private, they tell me NOT to answer that call, unless I've called them and requested a call back. And, the fake Social Security calls are just ridiculous. Even when I block their #, they can still leave a voice message !!! how can that happen? Since, they already have my phone #, I have called them, and when I get a "real" person, (of course India accent), I SCREAM as loud and as long as I can, till they hang up..... then repeat repeat repeat..... they don't answer my calls anymore !!!! hahaha Someone on Facebook said they bought a good whistle, and blow that into their ear.... I'll have to look around and see if I have a whistle somewhere.... !!!!

Unfortunately, the humans you get if you answer, are desparate for <any> job and poorly paid. It isn't their fault; it's those who <own> the business. They are ripping both phone owners and those answering the calls (often by script b/c the don't have much in the way of language skills past apologizing profusely.) The answer can only come from politically forcing telecom conglumerates to put a stop to it or pay.

I had an olive green "banana" seat bicycle in the 60s - very same as my best friend down the street. We had so much fun! Simpler times...... Hey Roger - have you tried good ear plugs? the kind (Like Mack's brand) that you squish then stuff in your ear where they expand? I have used them for years. I can't hear anything at night!

I started making a list of the scammer & telemarketers, and I have over 300 different phone #'s that have called my house phone. And, a separate list of 125 that have called my cell phone. How can we make it stop?????

Scammers can fake phone numbers so call-blocking has a limited effect & doesn't touch the worst offenders. I recorded a message that says I won't answer unless I recognize the voice and am nearby, but will call back if it's personal and they leave a message. I call back asap on messages and disconnect the answering machine when I'm traveling. We pay for our phone service, but in truth, it's been usurped.

Roger I recommend HEAROS ear plugs. They block out 36BD of noise, I sleep through almost anything but can still hear an alarm clock.

Yeah guess I'll have to do some kind of plugs but I want to be able to hear alittle in case there is trouble. Thanks....My friend says the Social security scammer are calling from an "877" number that should warn others right there. Gotta get me one of those old Stingrays and wipe out in the middle of Milpas..lol pop a wheelie! Thanks everyone.. :)

Yup, the Social Security scammers called me 8 times on Monday and then again 4 more tiomes on Tuesday and the numbers are all from a 877 prefix. Ignore any calls from that 877 prefix and you should be okay. All the phone numbers were different except for the prefix. I actually went on the FTC website and filed a complaint. I think anyone and everyone should do the same and inundate the FTC and FCC with complaints and then maybe something would be done to stop this insanity.

I use a device made for power tool users. It consists of a narrow head-band type deal with an earplug on each end. The (blue) headband puts just enough pressure on the (orange) earplugs to keep them in my ears and massively"subdue" the noise w/o making me totally deaf to what's going on.
