Scanner Reports 3-12-18

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Seems like every day we all have a chance to learn from someone else’s example but not many people seem to learn, because vehicles with keys in them keep getting stolen white the motorist says to themselves “I’m only going to be gone a second NO ONE WILL STEAL MY CAR? But THEY DO. Here is another one. I’m just going to leave these GUNS in the truck overnight, No One Will Break Into My Truck and steal them, but they do. Some people leave their vehicles open at night with expensive items inside. Some people must have money to burn, refreshing to read in the comments that Insurance companies won’t cover stolen vehicles who’s Mommy and Daddies leave the keys in. LIVE AND LEARN I ALWAYS SAY. One of the most useful things I have ever learned is when I don’t want something anymore, just leave it outside someone will come along and snatch it ,they will probably think they are stealing it too. Help make them feel good about themselves like they had to actually work for it by stealing it.

Here is a Funny one, as I am writing this a call went out on the vehicle taken on SATurday in the 1000 Block of Chapala the red Toyota Sion something about a 415 in the 1200 Block of Quinientos the thief still had the vehicle. Anyway, the thief got in the car and was last said to be heading South on Milpas passed Roger toward the 101 Freeway. Opps did I say too much? Anyway sounds like there might be some Weird Who Doo Voo Doo between the thief and owner of the vehicle STILL It aint smart to leave the keys in your vehicle. With friends like that who needs an enema? Another weird thing I always say, I hope I never need one again, my mom used to give me those things. I still remember them HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! If It was a choice of letting the thief keep my car, or giving me an enema and getting my car back I’d say “Keep the Car, here I have some guns for you too..” Jus Sayin Anyway Here is your Scanner Reports.

  1. I do keep my car locked, and don’t leave any valuables in plain sight. Roger, I’ve noticed there are a few posters on Edhat these days who like to give disinformation, and seem to try to rattle people, down arrows, negativity, etc. I’m beginning to wonder what/who they are mimicking, are ‘they’ trying to get everyone in the whole country in a bad mood? I’m reading a book on optimism right now…and it is helping me. I bought the book locally, at Chaucer’s Bookstore. When’s the last time you were in Chaucer’s, Roger?

  2. It’s hard to believe anyone would leave keys in their car. Why? It’s not hard to grab them out. The worst I heard was some years ago when a man delivering newspapers to stores “ran in for a second”, leaving his car idling with small child in backseat. Horrible ending!

  3. I used to go to Chaucer’s when I had money now when I want books I go to thrift stores that is where people with no money buy books since I don’t have a vehicle I don’t have to worry about leaving my keys in it so it will get stolen either…Good for you locking the car….@TwoScoops Rain, shopping. ramen, I’m afraid of falling down walking slower..That’s another thing about leaving the keys in the car some people leave other things in there too…I go into Trader Joes on Milpas alot and notice alot of purses left in grocery carts unattended too I COULD REALLY SCORE! The other day I was in there a woman was at least 15 feet away from her cart not paying attention to her open purse in the cart with Roger standing right next to it.
