Scanner Reports 11-22-17

Trolls have been with us for thousands of beers, they come from Scandinavia, Norway, and Iceland way back when they lived in caves in the mountains. As civilizations developed and grew they moved to the cities, some became cute little dolls with colorful hair. When the internet was invented they moved into computers and were all promoted to Internet Trolls. They have been around Santa Barbara a long time, I used to see them on the walls when I ate at Skandi’s, (I wish that place was still open.) Sometimes I’d see them in my drinking days when I’d go without a couple of days. I like them better as cute little dolls, the internet Trolls are a pain in the ass.

There has always been a lot of thefts around here but more so during the Holidays LOCK EVERYTHING UP! I’m sure I will be reminding you more as time goes on. I saw this article in the Sunday Times the otter day where in Orange County over a thousand bicycles were found in one Homeless camp, a thousand bicycles! Also found was an Underground room with wood stairs leading into it 10×10 feet. I think we had one of those rooms a few years ago near the RR Tracks at Calle Caesar Chavez pretty nice work on those homeless camps. I love checking out off-grid housing on the internet though it’s illegal.

Speaking of camping if your sleeping outside, remember to place a piece of cardboard between you and the ground or there is a chance you won’t wake up. Hypothermia can take you overnight. Another kind of theft that happens around here a lot, vehicle theft. Mostly due to those who leave the keys in the ignition with the vehicle running, even if you’re stopping somewhere for a second always shut off your vehicle and take the keys. Just think of what a horrible experience it is to lose your vehicle (part of your life) that quick and how much you would have to go through to get it back that should help.

And with the Holidays comes more depressed folks. A lot of Suicide attempts and Suicidal folks lately. Sometimes I think about doing the Deed. I think it through, my cat would have no one he already lost a couple plus if I wasn’t successful it would probably hurt I’m already in pain don’t want anymore the pain usually ends the thoughts for me. Someone used to tell me, “We will all be dead soon enough anyway, why hurry it?” True might as well go read a magazine in the Waiting Room.
