Scanner Reports 11-2-18
By Roger the Scanner Guy
I have been doing these Scanner Reports a few years now. When I first started there was hardly any other sources of information out there as things were happening. Now there are many places to go and find out what is going on, they don't all get released the second something happens. Citizen reporters like myself have to restrain themselves from reporting some things too quickly especially when personal information is involved or someone's life can be in danger. Some people, it seems, have a need to know about things right when they are happening. If it is that important to them they should go out and buy a police scanner. I report the way I report as others do.
This needs to be number one in reporting incidents, its all good for the professionals. I am not a professional journalist, never have been nor will be. I like who I am if you don't there are others. I used to feel like I had to please everyone but not anymore I have found that to be impossible. I do the best I can. Here are your Scanner Reports.

Nov 02, 2018 09:49 AMRoger, you do a great job of reporting, keep up the good work. As you have found out, you can't please everyone all the time. Some people gripe because that's just what they do about everything. I wouldn't want them in my family.

Nov 02, 2018 09:39 AMRoger, how do you feel about ordering prepared foods (other than pizza) from local restaurants and have it delivered to you? You can look at menus online. I've been thinking about doing it, because I'm in the same general un-mobility arena you describe. I'm not feeling brave enough yet, though. I don't know what's holding me back. But, that's my thing. I would be happy to cover your bill for a delivered meal once in a while.

Nov 02, 2018 08:56 AMHow are you doing, Roger? I'm sorry that you're feeling like people aren't appreciating you. You are the singular reason that so many of Edhat's readers even come to the website- I appreciate all that you do, and I love your stories and would read a column of your musings or a blog, if you ended up deciding to stop the scanner reports for any reason. I enjoy reading your literary style, you convey your thoughts very well and enjoyably. I know that you haven't been feeling 100% great lately and I hope it's nothing serious. There are many who care about you even if we've never met you, and I'm sure there are folks that would be happy to drop off some groceries or kitty food or whatever you may need if you're not able to walk around right now. Sending positive vibes your way, buddy!
