The U.S. Post Office in Montecito recently posted some sassy signs on their door about upgrades to mail drop off boxes and questions regarding theft.
Located at 1470 E. Valley Road, the first sign addresses a new drop box that has been upgraded.
“ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: The blue drop box is a new upgraded secured one. Also, please stop asking if it’s broken or full, it’s not. That’s how it’s designed to work. Thank you.”
The next sign addresses questions about mail theft, presumably a followup question from customers asking about needing a new secure drop box.
“ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: We have no more information about mail theft so please stop asking the window clerks about any mail theft or stolen mail. We will not be answering or talking about it. Please contact Postal Inspection for additional questions or concerns 1-877-876-2455. Thank you.”

Jeez – it simply provides information; doesn’t seem sassy to me unless one is magna-sensitive.
“sassy: lively, bold, and full of spirit; cheeky.”
Seems to apply.
“unless one is magna-sensitive”
Project much?
The ALL CAPS and “stop asking us!” quite literally screams sassy to me.
Er, not literally.
A typical Dem State response, Trumps going to cut the public subsidized, junk mail delivery system. They’re are not going to be around much longer
DDS – Dem Derangement Syndrome
It seems you don’t understand what the term “service” in USPS means.
Do you expect the military to make a profit?
So the Montecito Post Office is the “Dem State”?
And King Trump can unilaterally eliminate a vital U.S. institution that was founded a year before the American Revolution? And you think you will see any benefit from that?
It’s remarkable how much idiocy a MAGAt can pack into a few words.
Good lord, Trump’s cult members parroting government-issue talking points while not even trying to use proper spelling, grammar, punctuation or reason is both ludicrous and totally expected.
Well, they are known worldwide to be a pretty uneducated bunch of gullible lemmings.
Snarky attitude? Entitled? In Montecito? Naw…REALLY? BWAHAHAHAHA!
Maybe if they post something ON THE BOX people would see it. Who reads all the stuff on the windows?
Someone put sticky tape inside the mailbox door so people’s mailings never got into the box, then came back and stole their mail. TWO WEEKS after the first complaints the post office employees STILL hadn’t done anything about it but put a “we don’t know anything about it” note INSIDE ON THE COUNTER. I mentioned it and got my head bit off. No accountability. At least now the note is closer to the box.
Wow. I wouldn’t call this sassy. It’s lazy, rude, and disrespectful to their customers. Shows no desire whatsoever to provide even a basic level of customer service. Sounds like these workers need to think about other jobs – I’m sorry they’re so miserable in their positions. No one should be that unhappy.
Post office employees have been disgruntled and sour for decades.
So have you, apparently.
COATLIQUE – agreed! Telling customers not to even ask about something and that they won’t talk about it is just petty and lazy. How hard is it to say, “It’s not broken” or “We don’t have any more info on that” a few times a day.
Seriously, if you don’t like dealing with the public, don’t work at the Post Office, DMV or anywhere else where it’s literally YOUR JOB to deal with the public. Always baffled me why these workers tend to be constantly irritated. Did they not know what the job entailed when they took it?
This is news? How about reporting on why ‘Milpas Gardens’ was pushed through by the State’s progressive ‘builders remedy’ laws. This will negatively impact the area and it’s residents.
They did. There was an article on it a few days ago.
