On 06-06-2026 at approximately 1830 hours, The Santa Maria Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Red Bark Rd. regarding a suspect wanted for multiple felony offenses.
The suspect barricaded himself inside a residence and refused to comply with officers’ commands. Due to the circumstances, the SWAT Team was activated and utilized specialized resources, including crisis negotiators, tactical personnel, drones, K-9 officers, and an armored rescue vehicle.
After several hours of negotiations and tactical operations, the suspect was safely taken into custody without injury to officers, or the public.
The suspect was booked on the outstanding felony charges, and the investigation remains ongoing.
