Santa Maria Police Search for Wanted Suspect

Update by the Santa Maria Police Department:

The SMPD would like to thank members of the community for the tips received in an effort to locate Jose Luque 1-29-87. On the afternoon of Monday, October 16, 2017, SMPD Detectives and members of State Law Enforcement Agencies located Luque at a residence in the City of Guadalupe. Luque subsequently surrendered and was taken into custody without incident.

The Santa Maria Police Department is searching for a suspect who was involved in a Domestic Violence incident.

On 10/14/17 Santa Maria Police Officers responded to a call of a Domestic Violence incident. They discovered that Jose Luque (30 years), a resident of Santa Maria, kidnapped and assaulted the confidential victim in this investigation.

Luque has not been arrested and is at large. He is currently wanted for 3056 PC – Parole Violation, 207 PC – Kidnapping, and 273(a) PC – Child Endangerment.

This investigation is ongoing. The Santa Maria Police Department is requesting anyone with information on Luque’s whereabouts contact the Santa Maria Police Department at (805) 928-3781 x 2278.
