Santa Maria Police Search for Wanted Person

On 03/31/18 at approximately 2254 hours officers responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of W. Morrison in the City of Santa Maria. During the investigation, it was determined the suspect was 26 year old Santa Maria resident Jose Carlos Barajas. BARAJAS fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival. BARAJAS is wanted for attempted murder and child endangerment. His current whereabouts are unknown. BARAJAS is believed to be armed and dangerous.
