Santa Maria Police Search for Robbery Suspect

On February 12, 2020, Santa Maria Police were called to a business on the 1400 block of south Broadway in regards to a robbery which had just occurred. SMPD Officers discovered that employees of the business attempted to prevent the female suspect from stealing a large amount of merchandise.

During the incident an altercation between the suspect and employees occurred. One store employee suffered a minor injury during the commission of the crime. The suspect fled the business on foot prior to officers arrival. No weapons were used during the commission of the crime.

The female suspect has not been identified; however, she is described as a light-skinned female, mid to late 20's, blonde hair and a tattoo on her lower back.

OMG! SMPD must be taking a play from the SBPD & SBSO playbook by waiting 10 days to ask for help to solve a crime. The flip side though - It is Santa Maria and they are dealing with crimes every hour.
