On 4/27/2026, at approximately 10:45 a.m., Santa Maria Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of South McClelland Street in connection with an ongoing domestic violence investigation.
During the stop, officers arrested Alberto Macias, a 32-year-old Santa Maria resident, on domestic violence-related charges. A search of his vehicle resulted in the recovery of a stolen firearm.
Macias was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on multiple felony charges, including domestic violence-related offenses and weapons violations.
