Santa Maria Police Investigates Two Separate Shootings

On May 6, 2022, at about 9:50 pm, a 19-year-old male adult checked himself into the Marian Regional Medical Center ER with a single gunshot wound. The victim, a Santa Maria resident, indicated he was walking near the intersection of Alvin & Bradley when he was struck by a bullet. The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.

On May 6, at about 10:59 pm, officers received multiple calls of shots fired near the intersection of Thornburg & Ronald. Upon arrival, officers located evidence that a shooting had occurred in the area related to a large house party. While officers were on scene investigating the shooting, an 18-year-old adult male arrived at the Marian Regional Medical Center ER seeking treatment for gunshot wounds. This victim is believed to be connected to the Thornburg & Ronald investigation. His injuries were also non-life threatening.
