Santa Maria Police Investigate Stabbing

On Sunday, September 8, 2019, at about 2109 hours, Santa Maria Police Officers responded to the parking lot of a business located in the 800 block of N. Broadway to a reported stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a victim lying in the parking lot next to a food vendor truck. The victim sustained several stab wounds and was subsequently airlifted to Cottage Hospital.

An investigation revealed the victim was standing near a food vendor truck when he was attacked by two suspects for no apparent reason. One of the suspects stabbed the victim several times throughout his upper body. The two suspects then ran from the scene.

The suspects are described as two Hispanic males, in their late teens to early 20's (NFD). The victim's condition was stable at the time of this press release.

It would be poetic justice if, when they find the perps, they make them cover the 'copter and medical costs--or work them off!
