Santa Maria Police Investigate Homicide

Update by the Santa Maria Police Department

Santa Maria Police Department identified the victim of the homicide as 21 year old, Vicente De Jesus Medina Guerrero of Bakersfield. Next of kin has been notified and the investigation is ongoing.

On 12/06/18 at approximately 2226 hours Santa Maria Police Officers responded to the area of Bunny and Blosser for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival they located a male who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced as deceased at the scene. 

The identity of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification to next of kin.
