At approximately 11:20 p.m. [Saturday, April 25], Santa Maria Police officers responded to a reported armed robbery in the area of Rancho Verde and Fiesta Way.
The victim reported being robbed at gunpoint. Responding officers quickly obtained suspect descriptions and broadcast the information to units in the area.
Within minutes, officers located two individuals matching the descriptions just a few blocks from the scene. During the detention, officers recovered a replica handgun and the stolen property.
The suspects, a male and female juvenile, were taken into custody and booked. The stolen money was successfully recovered and returned.
Investigators are also reviewing a similar robbery reported the previous evening to determine any connection.
This swift arrest highlights the importance of rapid response and coordinated communication. Thanks to the proactive efforts of Santa Maria Police officers, both suspects were safely apprehended and are now in custody.
