Santa Maria Police Arrest Three Suspects in Separate Incidents for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

On 02/14/2026 at 9 PM, officers responded to a hit-and-run collision in the 1700 block of South Broadway. The suspect fled the scene but was identified and detained by witnesses.

The driver provided a breath sample measuring approximately twice the legal limit and was arrested for DUI. The driver was also found to have an outstanding DUI warrant. The individual was booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail for violations of 23152(a) VC – DUI, 23152(b) VC – DUI, 12500(a) VC – Unlicensed Driver, and the outstanding DUI warrant.

On 02/14/2026 at 9:20 PM, officers responded to a traffic collision in the area of 606 N. Conception. The driver was contacted and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail for violations of 23152(a) VC – DUI and 12500(a) VC – Unlicensed Driver.

On 02/14/2026 at 949 PM, officers contacted a driver traveling against traffic on the wrong side of the roadway in the area of Battles Road and Broadway. The driver performed poorly on field sobriety tests and provided a breath sample measuring approximately twice the legal limit. The driver was arrested and booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail for violations of 23152(a) VC – DUI and 23152(b) VC – DUI.
