Santa Maria Police officers arrested a 17-year-old male juvenile Monday afternoon in connection with an armed robbery that occurred near Chapel and Conception Streets.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a report from a victim who stated that a male confronted him with a handgun and demanded his property. Through their investigation, officers quickly identified a vehicle involved in the incident and located it in the area of Betteravia Road and College Drive.
Upon contacting the occupants of the vehicle, officers discovered a loaded firearm and recovered the victim’s stolen property. One of the individuals in the vehicle was identified as the suspect in the robbery. The juvenile was arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall for robbery and multiple weapon-related charges.
