On 9-28-25, at approximately 12:22 AM, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots heard in the area of the 400 block of Indian Knob Road in unincorporated San Luis Obispo.
Deputies responded to the scene and quickly located a vehicle matching the description provided by the reporting party. The male driver of the vehicle was uncooperative with deputies and was ultimately detained after failing to comply with commands. A firearm was located inside the vehicle, and deputies also recovered spent shell casings at the scene.
The suspect, identified as 24-year-old Miguel Andy Martinez, of Santa Maria, was arrested and booked on charges of resisting or delaying a peace officer, carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, and carrying a loaded firearm in public.
No one was injured during this incident. Deputies acted swiftly to secure the area, and there is no ongoing threat to public safety. This case remains under investigation.
