On March 6, 2026, the Police Department’s Gang Suppression Team and Detectives made multiple arrests during proactive enforcement operations in the city.
At approximately 1629 hours, the Gang Suppression Team conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of S. Broadway. The driver, who was on probation, was contacted by officers.
During a probation search of the vehicle, officers located several baggies containing suspected fentanyl and methamphetamine. The methamphetamine weighed approximately 15.3 grams and the fentanyl weighed approximately 18.3 grams.
The driver was arrested and booked for possession of narcotics with the intent to sell.
Later that evening, at approximately 2026 hours, detectives conducted a traffic stop at Donovan Road and Broadway. During the stop, detectives contacted two occupants of the vehicle, both convicted felons, with one currently on parole.
With the assistance of the Gang Suppression Team, a search of the vehicle was conducted and a loaded 9mm handgun was located. Both subjects were arrested on weapons charges.
