Here’s a 1925 earthquake pic most of you have probably never seen….and definitely not in color!

This was a steam generated power plant that was originally built in 1901 (along with a brand-new bath house), then added to over the years as demand increased.

The original plant seems to have survived! It was located next to Pershing Park where the baseball field is.

The photo was from the Southern California Edison archives at the Huntington Library.
