Santa Barbara Pony Baseball Wins Open Invitational

The Santa Barbara Pony baseball 11u Bronco All-Star team won the Pony Open Invitational with a dominating 21-9 win in the championship game last Monday night in a 3 hour match up against Northside of Oxnard.  The team combined for 19 hits in the game.      

The 11u team went 4-0 for the weekend, outscoring the competition 56-12.  The team batting average for the weekend was .448 and they had 56 hits over the four games.  To get to the championship, they beat Simi Valley 15-1, Northside 5-2, and then beat Camarillo 15-0 in the semi-final game.

The team now advances directly to the Pony Regional tournament in Camarillo, CA in two weeks.  Members of the team include:  Zeke Adderley, Eric Anthony, Will Firestone, Jaxton Hall, Derek Jaye, Kai Mault, Kaden Spencer, John Sunujkian, Luca Villano, Jetner Welch, Jeremy Welch and Grady Wilson.  Team coaches include:  Greg Anthony, Kevin Spencer, Mike Westmacott and Manager Rusty Wilson.
