On February 2, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Officers from the Santa Barbara Police Department responded to a felony battery that occurred in the parking lot of Speedway Express, located at 231 N. Milpas Street.

They determined the suspect, 22-year-old Isaiah Angel Munoz of Santa Barbara, intentionally used his vehicle to strike the victim following an argument earlier in the evening. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention.

After a thorough investigation, officers obtained a warrant for Munoz’s arrest on February 4, 2026, for assault with a deadly weapon.

Later that same day, at approximately 6:00 p.m., Santa Barbara Police officers located Munoz in the Chevron parking lot at 1085 Coast Village Road. He was taken into custody without incident and was found to be driving the same vehicle used in the February 2nd incident.

Officers conducted a search of Munoz’s vehicle and the following dangerous weapons and narcotics were seized:

  • An AR-15-style pistol (ghost gun, non-serialized)
  • A loaded 100-round magazine inserted in the firearm
  • Three additional high-capacity magazines containing approximately 150 rounds of ammunition
  • A ballistic bulletproof vest
  • A significant quantity of suspected cocaine

Munoz is a person prohibited from possessing firearms.

He was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on numerous felony weapons charges, narcotics charges, and assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $500,000.

    • ZIPS – you keep posting the same, easily destroyed and countered things on immigrants, drugs, guns, heck just about every topic. Do you have a cheat sheet you copy/paste from every time you comment? I mean you (and all the other online MAGAts) post the same exact pathetic “arguments” on all these topics all across the internet, from Edhat to Facebook. You guys should come up with something that is actually, logically sustainable.

Read Alex’s comment a few times and let it sink in.

      • ZIPS – nothing in my comment is an ad hominem attack. It’s an observation on the repetitiveness of your comments and a suggestion that you make better arguments.

I “surrender” at nothing. I always call you out and destroy your weak arguments, that will never stop.

The only one surrendering is you every time you’re asked a question and you run away crying like a child.

Maybe come back when you’re adult enough to actually engage with others in a mature, intellectually honest and educated manner. In other words, you’re not capable enough to handle a discussion of the things you support. Now THAT is ad hominem, but it’s 100% true.
