Santa Barbara-based Acme Hospitality is expanding its footprint with a new restaurant set to open in Los Angeles.

Picala, a Spanish-inspired restaurant, is set to open this March, marking Acme’s latest entry into the Los Angeles dining scene.

Located at 3321 S. La Cienega Blvd., Suite G, in Culver City’s Cumulus District.

Picala is described as a neighborhood gathering place in Culver City’s Cumulus District, rooted in the Spanish tradition of sharing food and designed to offer everything from quick pintxos at the bar to full meals.

The restaurant previously said it would open in January 2026, according to an Instagram post by Picala.

The name Picala is drawn from a rarely used rural Spanish idiom referring to a meeting of paths, according to the restaurant’s website.

The menu includes wood-fired dishes and Spanish classics that incorporate California seasonal ingredients. The restaurant will also serve drinks such as pintxos and vermouth, with patio seating available.

Picala will feature an indoor-outdoor layout intended to accommodate a range of dining experiences, from casual drop-ins to group meals.
