Excellent TV coverage with their exceptional helicopter cameras and roving reporters mostly shows the devastated Olive Mill/Hot Springs intersection where their TV news trucks set up. I've wanted pix w/locations identified, so yesterday we flew along the South edge and then high above the airspace allotted to search & rescue and official survey aircraft. I've been going thru our massive number of aerial pix from the flight and looking up locations I'm not sure of on gMaps. Meanwhile, I'll send some of upper San Ysidro Creek. If there's interest I'll keep posting more on SBitZ.NET and will send Ed some too.

On SBitZ.NET (after sending Ed more pix), I took some time just now to post a high overhead view of Casa de Maria and San Ysidro Ranch from the Eastern side of the creek. I've already picked out another pic from the Western side and prepared cropped portions of that, so after sending this I'll add those pix in another post on SBitZ.NET in a couple of minutes. All of these high views will be good for comparing with "before" sat views on gMaps.

I've finally taken the time to view all the tri-county TV news we've been recording, and it's *very* impressive! KEYT, KCOY and KSBY have done an exceptional job of covering both the Thomas Fire, and perhaps even more so the flood. Thank you! I saw on one news helo a shot of Casa de Maria with comparison "before" satellite imagery. It verifies that the cafeteria is probably not repairable, though some of the kitchen equipment may be salvageable and that part of the structure may be intact. The main meeting room and office buildings are completely gone. I'm about to send Ed an aerial view of Jameson Reservoir showing how much silt and debris flowed into it, and will probably be posting that and other high views including more of the Carp through Montecito flows and damage in the Flood Disaster topic on SBitZ.NET in the next few hours.

I don't see any photos on SBitZ. What thread? How do I find it?

I looked at your SBitZ.NET photos. Thanks! What caught my attention was the eye-witness account (1/12) from someone who is still sheltering-in-place. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sbitz/Al4MloLl1Xs
