Santa Barbara Harbor Patrol officers are checking for life vests, proper registration and emergency gear as part of Safe Boating Week. There are even rules for paddle boarders.   This week they also demonstrated flares sending orange smoke into the air near the Yacht club. Santa Barbara has over 1000 vessels in the harbor including an active commercial fleet, recreational boats, whale watching vessels and an outrigger club.

It's standard operating procedure for Mick and his gang to take credit for things other people do. Meanwhile, while they are busy burning expired flares and Monica is harassing people for minor violations, the meth- and crack-heads are busy on the docks stealing everything that isn't bolted down.

While the Harbor Patrol Officers hosted and managed the flare shoot, it was the Santa Barbara Sail and Power Squadron that instigated the event and supplied most of the expired flares being used.

That's 3 outrigger clubs of which 2 compete on a regular basis during the racing season. John, you'll be accused of FAKE NEWS with such mistakes.
