Rollover Collision Halts Highway 101 Northbound in Summerland

All lanes of US 101 in both directions are now open in the Carpinteria/Summerland area of Santa Barbara County following a multi-vehicle traffic incident. Expect residual slowing and be aware of all highway workers.

Hwy 101 S/B is closed between Sheffield Road and San Ysidro Road in both directions. The #1 lane of Hwy 101 N/B will open soon to expedite traffic. The alternate route is North Jameson Lane. Expect heavier than normal traffic. We anticipate Hwy 101 to re-open in roughly 1 hour.

Just before noon, a traffic collision occurred on Hwy 101 N/B just north of Sheffield. 2 cars involved. 1 rolled – driver extricated by firefighters & taken to hospital by AMR. 2 people in the other vehicle had minor injuries. We appreciate your patience & please drive safely!
