A low flying fast moving drone  buzzed State St. at Haley Saturday night for several minutes.   It was in an area with cars, pedestrians and fixed objects such as signal lights and flags.   At times it was under 10 feet off the ground.   Santa Barbara Police say this was very risky by the unknown user and the aggressive operation could be a violation.

"Could" be a violation? I hope Palminteri or other witnesses reported this to the FAA.

Another "Nothing Burger" report here. The drone is long gone and people were excited for a few minutes & it made the news. Whoo Hoo!

Hmm... an “aggressive operation”? Seems like Palminteri had an aggressive operation of his own when he shoved that kid on-camera.

Not funny. Drones have interfered with firefighting planes. They should be considered aircraft, and made subject to FAA regulations. They're not toys and shouldn't be used as such.

..."The drone got between me and the camera. I scowled at it, but it did not move. Then I tried to push it away, but it out-maneuvered me and flew off (sigh)..."

Wonder what a laser pointed at a drone digital camera would do? Might discourage more behavior of this type.
