Rincon

By John Wiley
Rincon is especially beautiful from the air lately, despite having been touched by fire. But surfing made it famous, and the break has been good enough lately that even with interference from strong winds the weekday lineup was cooking. Some were waiting for sets well out beyond the foam, and others were strung along the break in batches almost to the freeway.

Apr 14, 2018 12:39 PMI like that first scenic pic a LOT. From the air it's mostly the wake of a surfer that we see, and then spot the front of the board. So getting this view from above is fun back on the ground. I guess we'll be seeing a lot more close in drone pix & videos every year, and those add another perspective.

Apr 14, 2018 12:34 PMWe thought about flying closer to Ventura where that last hill before the river valley had wildflowers last year. Has anyone seen a bloom there yet?
