I'm looking for a reliable immigration service to assist with naturalization from the U.K. I've heard that some of the local establishments are less reputable that others. I'm interested in reading experiences of people who have used local services. Thank you.

If you're changing status from a permanent resident to a US citizen you've been here long enough to understand the forms and how the INS operates. You are less likely to make a mistake on a form concerning your info than an intern or secretary, these places can and do make mistakes! Why pay someone, it's a process you should be involved in and understand. Read the correspondence carefully, they've moved a lot online and it's very doable.

If you can read and write English and can follow instructions, do it yourself. The forms are not complicated.

There are those who say it should be and those who blanch at the idea, but it isn't simple. There are multiple filing delines requiring various documents, due dates can & do change, court appearances that can be rescheduled multiple times and requirements to be met that aren't obvious or explained clearly enough not to confuse someone born and reared here. If you've dealt with the IRS or applied for the new "real" driver's license, you have an inkling. The regs changed for a "Real" license after many were issued. Those became "provisional" until additional requirements were met. . .just sayin'
