Kelly Anne Pearman, a recent UCSB graduate, passed away unexpectedly in her home on July 29, 2017. She was 22 years old.

Kelly, a Political Science graduate, was born in San Jose and raised in Morgan Hill. She was heavily involved with Associated Students (A.S.) at UCSB and served as an Off Campus Senator. She planned to move to Washington DC and pursue a career in politics.

Family and friends will remember her as a loving person with a positive and infectious energy. She looked out for others and was active in her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma, reports The Daily Nexus.

The circumstances of her passing are unknown.

In lieu of flowers, the family has started the Kelly Anne Pearman Memorial Scholarship in her honor. Donations can be sent to the UCSB Parents Fund.  A memorial was held at 6599 Del Playa Dr. on Sunday.
