Public Invited to County Fire Department Valor Ceremony

The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is hosting a Valor Ceremony honoring several firefighters and helicopter pilots for their heroic efforts during the Whittier Fire and 1/9 Debris Flow in Montecito.

Fire Chief Eric L. Peterson will present two Certificates of Valor and seven Medals of Valor to nine individuals who performed heroically, above and beyond the line of duty.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Santa Barbara County Fire Headquarters Memorial Plaza, 4410 Cathedral Oaks Road, Santa Barbara, 93110.
