Police Search for Hit and Run Suspect

Santa Maria Police Officers are seeking the public’s assistance with a hit and run investigation that occurred on June 21st, 2020 at 0442 hours.

The following is a summary of the incident:

On 6-21-20 at approximately 0442 hours, a dark colored 2010 Chevy Silverado extended cab (CA license plate: 33380B1), backed into a block wall, located at 1225 W. Stowell. The collision caused catastrophic structural damage to the wall and damaged the adjacent building. This incident was captured on video surveillance. The driver of the vehicle was a Hispanic male adult, approximately 25-30 years old, 5’09”, 190 lbs. with short black hair, dark mustache and goatee, and wearing a white t-shirt, black pants and white shoes.

  1. If they have the license plate and it wasn’t already reported stolen, couldn’t they just locate the truck and impound it against the property repair costs? If it isn’t claimed and the owner doesn’t pay the cost, sell it. In the unlikely case it isn’t the guy in the picture, let the owner deal with the guy. He knows who it is.
