Re: Armed Robbery at Little Caesar’s Pizza, 2120 S. Broadway

On the morning of Monday, December 04, 2017 at approximately 0906 hrs, a male suspect entered the Little Caesar’s Pizza at 2120 S. Broadway. The business was closed at the time and the employees were preparing to open. The suspect was described as a Hispanic male with a dark complexion, 25-40 years old. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, dark colored pants, and dark shoes. (Surveillance still images attached) The suspect entered the business and approached an employee. He brandished a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect took cash from the business, however SMPD is not releasing the amount of money stolen due to the ongoing investigation. Immediately following the robbery, the suspect fled through the back exit of the store and continued on foot north through the alley adjacent to Targ et. He then exited the alleyway and ran north on McClelland. His path of travel after that point is unknown.

SMPD investigators are asking the public for assistance in this investigation. The robbery was committed with a handgun and the suspect is considered armed/dangerous. SMPD investigators are urging the public to contact the SMPD with any information. If you recognize the suspect, DO NOT APPROACH. Contact Police at 911 immediately.

Any information can be forwarded to Detective Brice at SMPD at (805) 928-3781. Tips can be left anonymously on our website https://www.cityofsantamaria.org/city-government/departments/police-services/requesting-service/anonymous-tipline-to-police. Funny how the only time they actually ask for public help in a timely manner instead of weeks/months later, the photo is nearly unidentifiable!
