Oct 19, 2022 03:22 PMZERO - This was probably posted so someone could ask, why, without knowing the circumstances, 3 of 4 officers were grouped together and not spread out in better tactical positions.

Oct 20, 2022 12:20 PMZERO - With the "lol" designations in your comment it appears you find my comment humorous. Two of the three officers in question have their weapons drawn and appear ready to use them if necessary. To me, without knowing the circumstances at that time, this indicates the likelihood the cops were not yet in full control of the situation. Keeping safety of the officers in mind; and now, knowing a gun (that turned out to be a replica) was involved wouldn't it have been better, if possible, that the officers were "spread out?" IMO it could be quicker to shoot all three as depicted in the photo than it would if these three were spread out? At a minimum why not use the door of the car next to them as cover. As you appear confident you will "get answers" after you talk to your friends at the "cop shop," I look forward to you commenting about the explanation you received.

Oct 19, 2022 03:10 PMI'm happy the neighbor was able to capture this. Good to know that we need 4 police officers with 3 handguns and 1 assault rifle to take down a guy with a backpack.

Oct 19, 2022 03:21 PMIf you watch the video you will see the guy had a pellet gun which was a replica of an actual gun. It looks like these officers took care of the situation without escalating it. There has been so much crime lately including the use of firearms. So this wasn’t just a guy with a backpack. It was a guy in a neighborhood with a gun.

Oct 19, 2022 05:24 PMThe pellet gun person handled it well, they complied with commands, didn't wave the pellet gun towards officers and kept themself safe in the process. What you saw in the video is typical of how 99.99% of armed subject interventions are resolved.

Oct 20, 2022 10:30 AMA person with a pellet gun (.177) or BB gun can take out someone's eye with a good aim, or just a lucky aim. These police officers handle it very well.

Oct 20, 2022 05:31 PMSkyline Circle is a "black neighborhood". A part of Mesa history. Lots were given to black families by a church many decades ago.
Sure looks a lot better than how LA County Sheriffs handle such matters
