Police Arrest Sexual Assault Suspect

On Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at approximately noon, the Santa Barbara Police Department received a 911 call stating that a woman had just been sexually assaulted in the 2700 block of Miradero Drive. The caller stated that the suspect was still at the scene.

Multiple police units arrived and eventually detained the suspect, Elpidio Monterrosa, a 31-year-old resident of Santa Barbara.

At approximately 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, Monterrosa allegedly sexually assaulted the female victim at the complex.

Officers and Detectives interviewed all of the involved parties. At the conclusion of the investigation Monterrosa was booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail on two charges stemming from the sexual assault.

  1. I wanted to write this up but it’s against my rules to post addresses even areas this poor woman was in her car trying to get away while this poor excuse for a human was on the roof of the car trying to get at her. Hopefully he will be gone along time..
