Police Activity on State Street

At around 12:40am on Dec. 8 we were on the corner outside of Joe’s Cafe on State and Cota. We saw several police cars race past in the direction of Ortega, including an unmarked police car, and one that spun around and blocked the street. There were a ton of lights flashing up on state between Ortega and De la Guerra.

Our Lyft driver said he drove past the area and saw a lot of police with machine guns and automatic weapons, including a police with a compact gun that looked like an Uzi and possibly swat team. I haven’t seen any reports about what this was. Anyone know?
