Plant ID
Does anyone know what this plant/bush is? My wife got it from her grandparent's house in Goleta and they have passed so we don't know what it is. Thanks for any help!

Mar 07, 2018 11:20 PMMy thanks too! Have one (or similar) in side yard ground across walkway from one of my mom's succulent gardens. I tend it, love it, water it, and so enjoy the blossoms. Mine is purple. Thanks again.

Mar 07, 2018 09:47 AMIt is a Reed Stem Epidendrum, native to the tropical Americas, from South Carolina (Epidendrum conopseum) south through Mexico and Central America to Argentina. Like many subtropical and tropical parts of the world, they have naturalized in southern California where they literally grow like weeds.
