Did anyone else see the military planes fly over downtown Santa Barbara a few minutes ago? What is it for?

Plane Flyover?

Heard and then saw what looked like four T-4 type trainers, with the last fly-by with three planes going straight and one peeling off with smoke, almost like a missing man formation. The aircraft did not appear either on FlightRadar24 (https://www.flightradar24.com/) or on ADS-B Exchange (https://globe.adsbexchange.com/). Don't know why.

I saw one of the aircraft, a T-6, on my ADS-B receiver, but it was on the less common 978 UAT band. And the fact that I saw it on my local display but not adsbexchange suggests I need to fix something on my feeder.

Lincoln Lady a T-4 is a twin engine jet trainer, not what we saw.

P- 51 Mustangs Flew about 200 Ft right over the top of my shop. It is always fun to watch them. I wonder if this is for a memorial service. Not Memorial Day,

SagePup no way...4 P-51s...last seen together maybe in the '50s. The are rare and all singularly owned. I flew in the one here a few years back owned by the Collings Foundation, even got to pilot it off of west beach while flying during two barrel rolls.

Didn't see them, but the pilots who do these memorial flights in California usually fly North American T-6 Texan or Nanchang CJ-6 aircraft.

I saw them flying away, slimmer fuselage so likely CJ-6s

At least one was a T-6. I saw it’s tail number and type on my ADS-B receiver.

Porkrind yeah that sounds right, knew it was one of those two. They've come here several times.

Who underwrites these flights? Out of what fund?

The owners of the aircraft pay for it.

What a concept - not expecting the tax-payers/government to pay for everything.

Paid for by the “Respect American Heroes Fund”. The volunteers who make up the respecting American Heroes class of Americans. RIP Hero.

It was for me. I have psychic abilities and they flew over me 3 times. It was all for me.

Everyone in Santa Barbara needs to die for not leaving my psychic thoughts alone.

It was 4 T-6 Texans. I took a bunch of pictures. I was trying to post pictures but don't see a way.
