The dogs CANNOT YET be "available for adoption." They are held for a minimum of ten days under Protective Custody, as City and/or County Animal Control officials, in conjunction with Coroner's Office, try to find next of kin. PC hold can be extended. They MAY come up for adoption. The same is done for dogs belonging to arrested people, and women who go to shelters. If contact and plans are made, hold can be extended, usually not for long. The shelter/state does not yet have custody or ownership of these dogs, or any dog in this situation. The dogs are Safe! People work hard for them.

Let’s try hard to keep these two pups together. Bad enough they lost their human . These two need to be adopted together - please.

I’m sad for the dogs they lost their owner and they probably did have food or water for a while! How traumatic. These dogs need love ASAP!

Why is this comment down-voted? This is getting silly now. Edhat needs to stop the policy of deleting down-voted comments just because they were down-voted by "multiple" people. Some fellow commenters here shouldn't have the power to have a unoffensive comments removed permanently merely out of some personal agenda (as it seems the case here).
