Report #: 25-36574

On 06/12/25, at about 8:55 pm, the Ventura Police Department Communications Center received  a 9-1-1 call reporting an injury traffic collision in the area of Olivas Park Dr. and Seaborg Ave.  Ventura Police Department patrol officers responded to the collision and found one of the parties,  a pedestrian, had sustained major injuries. That subject was transported by ambulance to a local  hospital and was later pronounced deceased.

Ventura Police Department traffic investigators responded and assisted in determining the cause  of the collision. A preliminary investigation suggested that the pedestrian was walking westbound  on Olivas Park Dr. and a two-vehicle collision occurred directly behind her. One of the vehicles involved in the collision then struck the pedestrian.

After the collision, all of the motorists involved pulled over, stayed at the scene, and were cooperative with investigators. One of the involved motorists sustained a minor head injury and  was transported to the hospital. It is not believed that any of the involved parties were under the  influence of drugs or alcohol. The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office will provide  information on the deceased once next of kin notifications are made.
