Owner of iV Menus Arrested for Rape and 2 Other Felonies

The owner of iV Menus was arrested in Isla Vista on four felony charges including rape on December 18.

Patrick Galoustian, a 45-year-old UC Santa Barbara alumnus, is currently booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail. He has owned and operated the Isla Vista food delivery service since 2008.

He was arrested on charges of kidnap to commit robbery or rape, rape of drugged victim, and two counts of oral copulation by use of force or injury. Galoustian pled “not guilty” during his arraignment on Wednesday morning and his bail is set at $1 million, according to The Daily Nexus.

UCSB Police sent out an alert to students on December 19 stating a woman was raped by a male suspect on December 17 at 910 Embarcadero Del Norte. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim while she was unconscious at his residence. iV Menus is located at 910 Embarcadero Del Norte Unit D where Galoustian is also believed to reside. According to the alert, the victim did not know the suspect, and neither was affiliated with UC Santa Barbara.

The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office confirmed Galoustian was arrested in connection with this alert.

The iV Menus Facebook page run by Galoustian depicts several bizarre videos, including one of him practicing with nunchucks. Another video apparently shows Galoustian punching and kicking an alleged thief in IV Deli Mart while he narrates the action taking place.

Galoustian will appear in court on January 11, 2018.
