One Suspect Arrested in Connection to Carpinteria Bluff Fire

One person has been arrested in connection with a fire on the Carpinteria Bluffs.

At 9:37 a.m. Thursday, Carpinteria-Summerland firefighters responded to reports of smoke on the Carpinteria Bluffs near the 6100 block of Carpinteria Avenue.

The first crew on scene reported light smoke showing. Firefighters made contact and extinguished the flames, holding it to a 20×20 foot area.

On Thursday afternoon the Carpinteria-Summerland Fire Protection District announced the Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in connection with the fire.

No further details were released.

Fire Response at Carpinteria Bluffs


June 13, 2024

Earlier today there was a small brush fire in the 6100 block of Carpinteria by the Carpinteria Bluffs.

I didn’t hear much on it but it was a small trash fire the spread to nearby brush. Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the scene.
